About the role:
Location: Either Dallas, TX or McLean, VA
This Tech Lead position resides within the Global Operations Center (GOC) Support Organization. The appropriate candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for the operational support of both Backup & Storage environments. The candidate will engage with business owners, application, architecture, engineering teams and peers to safely execute changes, respond to Major Incidents, solve issues and perform RCA activities.

Your Impact: In this role, you will be an integral part of the GOC Operations team and will be expected to perform in the following areas:
Operations and Technology
  • Align work to appropriate team resources to ensure the tasks are completed in the most efficient and impactful way
  • Vet changes for accuracy and risk based on policy and governance
  • Demonstrate automated processes where possible and reduce manual intervention of repetitive tasks
Team Building and Leadership
  • Ensure the team is operating in the most effective way possible to be successful
  • Provide knowledge and guidance in areas where a gap exists and address proactively
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6-8 years of professional experience in information technology.
  • Experience in championing change and optimally managing project/program implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and build strong partnership with
  • Strong infrastructure administration and engineering skills in data center Backup, recovery and archive, Storage and networking technologies
  • Understanding of EMC VMAX SAN, NetApp NAS storage and VMware SAN storage solutions and EMC Data Domain.
  • Replication Design understanding of EMC SRDF for Block storage. Snap-mirror replication for NetApp, EMC Data domain and replication technologies for File based storage solutions
  • Understanding of HA and DR concepts as applied to major Infrastructure areas (Compute, Storage & Network) is a desirable
  • Day to day administration of IBM Spectrum Protect/ TSM enterprise backup & recovery infrastructure, and understanding of Dell EMC Avamar solutions, NAS Backups using NDMP and use of Data Protection Advisor (DPA) for reporting.
  • Knowledge of secondary mortgage market, Multifamily business and/or servicing.
  • Acute understanding of corporate governance policies and procedures
  • Experience with Service Now, Jira GAPS
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with continuous change and short deadlines
  • Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving skills, intellectual maturity, and relationship management skills
