Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures to collect utilization metrics and produce system utilization and capacity reports.
  • Identifying system bottlenecks and recommending improvements and/ or solutions.
  • Assistance in Configuring, planning and managing implementation of system upgrades
  • Applies their technical expertise to support the deployment of the technology architecture and the total system solution.
  • Works on billable engagements to provide support, advice, and guidance on the correct application of a products/technology solution specific to ClearPath systems.
  • Assists in pre-sales efforts in addition to working on billable engagements.
  • Leads the technical portion of demonstrations, internally and externally.
  • Proposes opportunities to develop follow-on business in client accounts and communicates ideas to the project manager.
  • Builds client relationships by interfacing with the client organization on other consultants.

Key Qualifications

  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident and ability to pass security and background checks.
  • The position requires at least a 4-year degree in a computer-related field
  • 7 years’ experience in Enterprise Class computing environments (e.g. IBM Z series, or HP, Oracle, Dell large enterprise systems)
  • Strong understanding and operational experience in a mainframe data center or enterprise-level environment
  • The candidate should have a background in several, but not all, of the following:
    OS 2200 or another Enterprise-Class operating system environment,
    Windows Server,
    Storage such as EMC disk systems
    Enterprise-class OS system utilities, Opcon/xps, TeamQuest View, or Sightline
    Data communications
    Enterprise servers
    Database management
    Business Continuity Techniques
